Really? It's a real nice metalflake blue. I bought two early into my collecting.

Not sure if it's a Space Walkman, Robot 2000 or what, never got a box..

The metalflake blue was the first Millennium Robot I bought... It's been around awhile. I like the fire-engine Red one better, though... Even though it doesn't work worth a crap.

I bought mine from Schylling in 1999 for $19.99 !!!

For twenty bucks it's a cool box and nice metalic

paint job. If you got one of the early ones like mine,

it had an added feature. The red dome on top of the

head lights up, later ones don't. Anyone who tries to

sell one as a vintage piece can always point to the

Vintage Toys book as their reference. Page 111,

1962 Horikawa "Battle Robot", $800 mint in box. The

dweeb who wrote that book obviously never saw

the box or most of the boxes for any of the other

robots in that stupid book. It does come in handy

though whenever you want sell some schmuck an

overpriced toy !!! JUST KIDDING... :P

They do however look nice in formation...

The purple one is kind of cool too...

You know..I really LIKE this robot. I know it's cheap, plentiful, constantly misidentified and comes in every color except... yellow, maybe? Still, it's a great introduction to robot collecting. How can you not love "the forgotten Shemps of Automata". And yes, they do look good in formation, Darryl.

It's Darryl...

The blue metalic Robot 2000 in the illustrated box

has the light in the dome. I later bought another

one for a friend and it didn't have the light...

  • 10 years later...

I just read that between October 2006 and November 2007 that approx 2600 schylling robot 2000 were recalled due to excessive levels of lead found in the paint!

This kid was the winner of my 2 dollar a ticket raffle at the 2013 Pleasanton Scottish Highland Games, at the time he told his dad( a space toy collector) that he wants all the colors, I also made it very clear to all that this was a repro toy.post-1784-0-29378300-1414345953_thumb.jp
