Robotos Robots On Display

Great pics, really love that original style Lava Lamp on the left with the star cutouts on the base. True classic and have one on our mantle in blue/white blobs. Apparently the same family is still making these as they have for about 50 years.

Many of the Vintage lamps like Robots are going up in price. And like Robots are becoming harder to find. Both hold there values for many many years and will continue to do so. :)

Incidentally, you're the first lava lamp collector I've met, but I like them too having lived through the 70's (what I can remember anyway). My favorite is the bulbous rocket shaped one with the Dalek, really cool!

I finished a display of 60's-70's-80's and 90's lamps with their robot helper's . Will post later my new finds a New silver Mechanized robby and a new olive green robby Billiken robot. One place on line still had 2 Osaka silver ones left.

My Osaka Silver Robby arrived yesterday . They made a great looking and running Robot. Looks great with my first one in the Classic Black.

Nice pair of Robbys! But be careful! If the lava leaks from the lamps you could have molten robby meltdowns! :lol:

I got lucky with this Silver Mechanized one. Found it online thru a shop that had 2 new in box left to sell. It says only 50 made in this color on the card.

Finally got an Olive green Robby Billiken. They are one great tin robot to own. I have asked this question before and have looked the best I can thru this site and did a search thru google. How many were made of this Billiken series.

I did find out thur this site that only a few came with the Planet earth blaster. Thanks to Morbius for the answer on the raygun.

I have added my Favorite Star Wars character to my collection now. Boba Fett made in 1998 by OTTI. For a wind up he is quite heavy and has lots of detail. And the first one I have with the ID card made out of tin. He is 1392 out of the 2000 run.The lamp is my own creation.

Even the head is made of tin. The only vinyl is the hands and blaster.

Added a metallic powder blue space evil to my collection.

I finally got and added the Yellow eye Space evil to my collection. Love the Brown and Black metallic paint with the yellow fly eyes. We call him Bumblebee.

I seem to be on a roll getting a few more cool Robots. I added the Chief Robotman to my collection.

Got this little guy. We call him The mini Space evil. Here are my Mini Gang of three.

Added a Space Doom Purple to my collection. Number 16 from 25. This is one cool bot. I even like the way the fly eyes light up that is so cool.

Added a Silver Space doom to my collection. This one is #24 of the run of 50 made . I have been taken over with the Fly eye bots.
