Great additions Roboto,

This is my repaint of a Attacking Martian, white paint as well as red is very difficult to work with but well worth it.post-1784-0-03044000-1404190775.jpg

Thanks. Yes White paint is very touchy to work with. I almost started to work on a Space Evil for that white color when MH released theres and all was well. Your repaint turned out great.

A new addition to my Space Evil collection. When the first run of the Brown horikawa paint finish came out another concept version was added with its yellow front tin look to the doors. There were only 5 units made with the standard silver doors that we see now with the Blue fly eyes. This version here is what they would have looked like if they made it so. I like this version and perhaps they should have done so with just the Brown paint run and then gone back to what we have now for the rest of the Evils.

A great addition to an already outstanding Space Evil collection. The Astro-1 doors are a very nice version, if they would have added the Astro-1's battery door with its lithos on this one, that would have been even better !

White and red are both difficult colours to apply in model kit building, I assume it's the same with the tin robots? Could this be why we didn't see those 2 colours very often with the toys? Red and white as robots are always stunning.

This one took a while to get but was worth the wait. MH has once again released a well made and great looking Martian robot called machine gun. He stands 12" tall and has different colors to his arms and rear battery cover in a dark gray metallic finish along with his Horikawa brown front finish used from there Dino run robots. They still have great parts to make it happen. He will soon be in charge of my Space Evils as there leader.

Glad to see you finally have this one! You had me for about a minute wondering if they had made a smoking model after I bought mine. Then realized the smoke would be spiraling with the guns. An outstanding concept and touch to this great robot. The bullets add the perfect touch and the barrels appear to be smoking after a heavy run of shooting.

Thanks. I wanted this version to look different as I began to take photos. Once I added the bullets my wife said if only the guns could smoke so I made it happen by using fine cotton within the barrels. This Martian head version is really selling as they are made. From what I have seen the wait can be up to 2 months dependent on orders. Some I have seen the mouth which has logo pistons and a row of bullets as teeth below placed upside down on other versions.

  • 2 weeks later...

A one of a kind Machine gun robot from Metal House with his custom arms in red and all chrome neck and shoulder collars with lit eyes and ears along with a much louder machine gun sound. I used parts from a spare Space Doom robot which had the Chrome rings for the neck and shoulder along with the matching red arms. I also used the dooms inner head light bracket and added a slightly larger bulb with reflector. The ears now light up nice since the plastic part runs further inside the head. I also adjusted the leaf spring for a better strike and it is now 3 times louder.

Side by side comparision of both machine gun versions. The Space Doom and new Machine gun have parts alike and are the same height.

Here are a few pics of what he looks like inside. There is a rubber band for turning the guns and the spring striker with its contact point. There may be a few out there like mine that I could not really hear the gun striking hard due to the fact that the flat spring was not making full contact to the front area. Once adjusted the sound was increased x3 as can be heard in the video forum. All work was done simply by just removing the front panel. All gears and shafts were greased before final assembly.

An Excellent piece to display.Glad to see it all went well and so quickly! Looks especially nice standing next to the Dino-Doom. Yes, mine is not very loud in the hammering but I will not take him down until a real problem occurs, then I will tackle them both. The arm colors you made with the collars really make this one stand as one of your best, and, apparently, this robot seems to be favored by many collectors.

Did not see it here in the videos but I did see it in the usual Youtube place and liked it. It certainly DOES sound louder.

Thanks Ultrarobotman. He was added to my videos here. The one before on the next page is the quite version. The lever spring on these version are not hitting the front plate dead on so I rebent that area and the contact is now fully on. The Red arm colors with the chrome collars came right off a spare Space Doom robot not many as such were added on by MH. It seems chrome collars are very rare to find on MH robot. Space evils had them on very select color models.
