Andy
I thought I'd attempt to share my modest collection with everyone. There is a robot in the collection which I was given at four years of age and three of the same type which I bought during 2008, at fourty four years.I think I'm going to like 'em!There are some I've bought, some I've been given and some I've built. I hope you like some of them...There are more here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OF59BED7IXE
Morbius
Wow! Robby rocks!! Just fantastic, beautiful. At the bottom cabinets, are those 1/32 scale NASCAR model kits by IMC? Thanks for posting, looks like your dining room is right out of Forbidden Planet. :D
Andy
Hi, thanks. Yes I had to fit a new kitchen last winter and so knocked the wall through and built a few 'residence' features in.I was amazed at how my missus liked what I was doing although it took some persuading to get her to buy the green paint! Those cars are 1:32 Monogram slot cars.. three sixty three Galaxie's and a sixty five. I have a load of track which we set up in the back garden during good wheather spells.
Kilroy
WOW! Err you did say modest collection? Impressive I would say. And I thought my wife was a sport for letting me take over a room in the basement for my toys.
Morbius
Thanks for the pics of the slot cars. I remember building 3 or 4 different 1/32nd scale IMC kits like these c1966, these kits were released here in Canada as "Grand National Champion" with ficticious numbers added...these had the slot car interior (flat) piece with driver's head/arms I recall but they could also be built with a simple plastic chassis (included) along with fat rubber tires as an actual model kit. They were very detailed and accurate kits which are quite scarce now, don't think they were on the market for very long.Models, slot cars and robots, they all go together wonderfully! :D I know 'cause our basement has all the above along with some die-casts thrown in.
