The first photo is the dated catalog imprinted with the Ponder Hardware Company name. The 1952 date is on the clock near the top of the cover.

Scroll down to the 6th image for the page with the Ideal 3 Color Space Ray Gun.

It looks like the pictured weapon may be the more rare black color variation. More common were the red & blue and blue & red color variations. This ray gun can be found in both Ray Gun and Zap! and on Doc Atomic's Attic of Astounding Artifacts

(as part of his Atomic Armory)

and on Rocket's web site Toy Ray Gun

http://toyraygun.com

It was here that I found a picture of the box which identifies this sidearm as the 3 Color Space Ray Gun

Now...if someone might be able to add the photos to this post, please. Thanks!

Great find, Joe! This gun is older than I'd thought.

If someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll post the pics up when I get home tonight. (Posting this from the office...)

Another great find Joe. I love the cover. I could see getting into collecting these catalogs just for some of these great covers.

Doc - Ha! Beat you to it. :P

Here's another sighting of the 3-Color Space Ray Gun by Ideal. This time, in a Fall 1952 Ideal Doll Catalog.
