Click to enlarge the third photo, first column.
In the upper left hand corner is a toy that looks like RTR Mechanical Bulldozer to me. An e-mail to the seller has gone unanswered.
Can anyone "enhance" this section of the catalog page and confirm?

See Post #9 for the revised catalog sighting, moving the date back from 1956 to 1955.

There just is not enough picture to pixel info to blow up. but here is the croped image of what I think must be the Robert the robot bulldozer as well.

I guess it'll take a few more months (years?) of searching to find earlier ads for these two variations. I always thought that one preceeded the other by a year or two. Anybody know for sure which came first and when?

This appears to be a similar picture as John's Post #2. A rather unusual looking Robert driver.

Note that this description never mentions "Robert" being the operator.

Here's a 1955 - 56 Santa's Playthings catalog sighting that moves the Timeline date back one year:

This appears to be a colorized version of the same image as seen in the previous post, however the colors don't exactly match the actual Robert the Robot Bulldozer toy.
