laserman
Here is a website in Hong Kong with inexpensive gears(although plastic), and other parts perfect for the home robot builder, repairer, and customizer. They have other parts (as I found out) that are not yet on their website. They take Paypal. They are called gizmozone.com. They have a 6mm gearhead motor that is a perfect replacement for the radar ears motors of my full size B9. And they are cheap. We will see how reliable....http://www.gizmoszone.com/shopping/storepro5/agora.cgi?
robothut
Here is a great site for micro motos and robot parts as well, in the USA.http://www.1sorc.com/here is a nano servo gear motor that comes already converted for cheep, about the size of a thumb nail.http://www.1sorc.com/misc/micro-mite.htmlAnd here is there 6mm gear motor.http://www.1sorc.com/misc/GM15.htmlBy the way do you know who the first person was to use the MICRO MO Swiss/ German gear motors as the B9 scaner spinners? Yep I started the movement so many years ago, Haveing built so many B9's with the standard friction ear cup drives I came to learn about MICRO MO because of some of the high speed dupplication equipment that I maintained and modifed, used some of there motors, so I got the company catolog and the rest is history. Back in the day the motors were not sold to general public and even at company prices the motors were $120 bucks each. But alot changed over the many many years, the prices came down and anyone could buy them.
laserman
Thanks John, I'll check them out. In preliminery review, it looks like the one would need some more gearing down for the B9 use. This gizmozone motor was already rated for 25 rpm's. But these small motors have lots of potential other uses. I have a 1:12 scale "2001 A Space Odyssey" POD kit from Atomic city I want to get to, and I want to electrically open and close the rear hatch. One of these motors might do the trick. Again Thanks! :)
