Joe K.
Here: http://cgi.ebay.com/BILLY-AND-RUTH-TOY-CAT...1QQcmdZViewItem The dated cover: http://i7.ebayimg.com/03/i/000/be/8f/0e16_1.JPG This page, specifically: http://i23.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/be/8f/0ed9_1.JPG According to Justin's Toy Ray Gun web site, the Target Game was made by T. Cohn, Inc. and the Rocket Gun was made by Superior Corp. This thread: http://danefield.com/alpha/forums/Superior...rget-t6256.html seems to indicate that the target was a Superior Corp. piece as well. T-93, can you confirm? Phil R
Joe, at the bottom of the target is SUPERIOR MADE IN USA around an oval. Inside the oval are interlocking T C in bold caps.

Good eye Phil. Here it is. Seems to be a logo for both Superior and T. Cohn.
Tinman
I concur with all the above, nice find Joe! $1.98...amazing. I think I'll email the winner to see if he/she could provide a better scan of the page for our archives.Update: I sent off a request to the winner of the toy catalog asking if he/she would provide scans of the cover, Space Target page, and any other pages related to robots, space toys, etc. I'll keep you posted. Joe K.
Here's a recently completed auction listing:http://cgi.ebay.com/1950s-SPACE-TARGET-w-G...=item255899f087showing a minty version of this Space Target game. I say "version" because this one is called Super Target. The rest of the litho looks identical to the Space Target.Any ideas as to which came first and why the subtle change? Tinman
Ya know Joe, I didn't even notice the game said "Super Target" vice "Space Target". I probably would have bid had I seen that...so much for my eye for detail! What a bargin at $1.98 (in 1950?)!!!
Tinman
And a pic of the "Space Target" version:
Joe K.
.Here's another catalog sighting (from a 1953-1954 The Toy Yearbook) for the Space Target:The photo might lead you to believe that two guns came with the toy, while the description mentions just one gun. Also, the photo shows the SPACE Target, while the description calls it SUPER Target..
