Phil R
I also bought 3 hardcover books with jackets on Sunday. They're part of 6 published by Crescent Books as though they were memoirs of a fictional Steven Caldwell , a Galactic Security Force Commander from the 24th Century. When I got the books home I wished I had the rest of them with torn dust covers. The approximately 75 illustrations dominate the books. There are a multitude of illustrators, of which I only copied about 1/3. The book only cost about $5.00 originally. The illustrations are extremely professional and amazingly creative. ALIENS IN SPACE, SETTLERS IN SPACE, STAR QUEST and others were THE FANTASTIC PLANET, WORLDS AT WAR AND SPACE PATROL.
Fineas J. Whoopie
Neat artwork Phil. The astronaut on the right in the third row down has a helmet that looks just like a Horikawa astronaut.
Andyman
Phil, I have a book called "Space Wars" that looks very similar in concept and style. I wonder if it was a precursor to this series? Love the artwork!

Andyman
I think I subscribed to OMNI during it's entire run. Never got the Guiccione connection until later on as I was young and didn't pay attention to those details. I just loved the Sci-Fi. One day I happened across a Penthouse and noticed it had almost the same exact layout as OMNI.
