Good Deed!

This afternoon I felt very strange. My first considerations were the common ones in such a case:

heartattack, stroke or being abducted by Aliens, but then it dawned on me..

I had had a charitable thought! No wonder I was first puzzled......

Ok. enough! I am going to make a series of " Motor-Robots" and other conversions of

the Giant shooting,-ugly-, Rotate-O-matic.

All mine (8) are mint, some charcoal, some yellow lithoed.

I am going to sandblast all the paint off and disregard the head and the plastic arms.

I do need the box, (whether I need the box top is negotiable).

As these, as B. would say, are going to be slaughterised, I am willing to trade

a mint for one that has cosmetic damage, provided the benificiary pays the postage (!).

Apart from the postage (which will be considerable unless you live in the Netherlands)

the deal is free.

I do not like the Giant sh. but I love robots too much to destroy mint ones without

at least trying something to sooth my conscience.

Reactions by email.

Hi there Mr G - I indeed do understand what you are saying and its a veru generous offer. If I had a spare giant I would hapily take up the offer. Though I am a great lover of horrikawas and would not part with an original silver or black 1960's example. Though if I had one of those horrible 1980's one with the plastic head I would be happy for you to guilotine it. Your converted giant looks spectacular. I appreciate the harley davidsonesque typeface though its not my bag culturaly speaking. The closest I come to biker culture is Oscar Wilde.

Personally I would not give ripping them apart and converting them a second thought . Let the slaughter begin!

OK I'll try again. No strange allusions, no convoluted speech, just straight:

( I tried to write this in words of less than one syllable, but that got me nothing..)

Now hear yea! (after all it's your mothertongue)

I have 10 1980's shooting rotate-O-matic , giant robots. All MIB.

I need 10 1980's shooting rotate-O-matic , giant robots, without heads and arms,

(to make 10 "Motor-Robots" and other conversions.)

So..

I am destroying 10 MIB 1980's shooting rotate-O-matic , giant robots,

whereas there might be people who have this robot in a lousy condition.

So....

If your lousy 1980's shooting rotate-O-matic , giant robot serves my purpose,

I will trade it for FREE for a MINT one. If you pay the postage.

For the boxes of 1980's shooting rotate-O-matic , giant robots:

I need the tops and the bottoms. But is you have a Lousy top,

I might trade that for a mint top.

So it has nothing to do with converting your robot.

It has nothing to do with the 1960's Giant robot.

It has nothing to do with free motor robots..

BTW I would like to buy 1980's shooting rotate-O-matic , giant robots,

if any of you have them for sale.

OK? So now I must rest....

Yes Bart a sword would come in very handy.

I can throw myself into it as a result of having the fatal idea

of this post in the first place...

Henk, if you butcher enough of the 'Super Giants' you will make them scarcer, therefore the ugly-headed originals will suddenly become more valuable due to their newly created rarity!

How about DIY replacement head kits?? Then you'd be able to say, "The head's in the mail"!!

(Maybe I'll try one myself)!!

:) I think that I remember seeing one at the checkout counter at the Robot Museum in Adamstown last year! I guess the price just went up! HA HA! By the way, paint stripper removes the yellow lithography in one clean application, and if you bend up one of the three revolving contacts that make the lights and noise, it sort of sounds like a Harley V-Twin engine at idle with the loping sound! I am there doing that on one this week myself. -Larry 7
