Russell
I wonder if anyone can help me out with some photo reference?I have a small illustration job to do and need to Illustrate a Space gun. (see jpg from client)I'm not sure if it is meant to be bakelite or litho'ed I think the client is leaving that up to me me.Tthey just want to show the contrast against a modern laptop wih a wire-less... thingy (WiFi)If anybody has a photo of a cliched 50's Space gun (viewed from the side)I'd love to see it!Thanks RT
dratomic
Russel -- check my website -- www.atomicbox.net/dratomic. Click on SPACE GUNS. Lots of photos. All shot from the side. Personally, I'd go with the Pyrotomic Disintegrator (see below). It just doesn't get more Fifties than that one... Also... I've got some of my other guns in the Gallery section of Robot Island (www.robotisland.com). Also, also... toyraygun.com -- the ultimate ray gun reference site, with photos of nearly everything (though the photos are small...).Good luck! Russell
Hi Dratomic, Thanks for your ray gun reference. In the end I had to make a chunky looking hybrid to fit the style of the ad, but your examples sure helped with styling and detail :)thanks Rt
