Jonydroid Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Well here i go As you know i bought this old rusted Horikawa gear robot spring loaded and after i thought about all of it and it's condition i am using it for parts, that was the main reason for i bought it and i am using it for that for now, but this robot have really good parts i don't know if i will recover it later but for now i took some parts like the arm and feet ears and head out for a rust remover and paint out First i took the eléctric tool to remove the surface rust and did really a good job, second i put all those parts on a rust remover solution that can Also take old Paint out so it's doing well and did a good work i like this, the arm is in bare metal now, i Will do later a mooth sandpaper work and primer, Next Paint job and install the arm

Hello Robodude i don't know my friend it kinda looks weird to me it's a silver paint, i was fooled by the color of the spray can lid, I don't think it looks good... I think i will search for the similar original paint. It's too bright i didn't attached the arm it was only to see how it would look...
ROBODUDE Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Yes-I can see now with the parts it would be too silver with the eyes and mouth! Good luck Joao! I cant wait to see it finished!

Yeah and it needs more soft sandpaper to smooth some areas than new Paint but now it have to wait like 3/4 days to a proper dry paint going to leave it into the sun light to cure faster...
