Roboto
Oh My! Due out Dec-2024 Beatles, The Yellow Submarine Studio Scale Model Factory Entertainment cost around $799.99 Beatles, The Yellow Submarine Studio Scale Model: 1968’s The Beatles: Yellow Submarine is a feature-length musical fantasy comedy adventure, acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. More than half a century later, its titular image remains a pop-culture icon. Over 200 artists worked tirelessly to create the art used to achieve the film's surreal style. True to its pop-art aesthetic, creativity and innovation were encouraged. Unlike a modern animated production where model sheets and style guides are rigorously adhered too, the artists were encouraged to embrace the surreal and the avant-garde and to both literally and metaphorically ‘color outside the lines.’ No physical models were ever created for the production. To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the film, as well as the beloved Beatles song on which it's based, Factory Entertainment wanted to honor this psychedelic icon by realizing it as a real-world, studio scale model. Officially licensed and approved by Apple Corps, each studio scale model is an impressive 27 inches long (68.5cm). The main body is crafted from fiberglass and polyresin, plastic and diecast metal are used for the fittings. The conning tower section is removable, revealing a detailed interior inspired both by real-world naval architecture and the submarine interior scenes seen in the film. Each Yellow Submarine Studio Scale model comes with a limited-edition numbered plaque, display cradle and certificate of authenticity.
