Ultrarobotman
Hi everyone. Just a question on my recently added robot- many of us know that with robots who have arms that stride with their arms automatically moving up and down as one of their functions, that the arms should never be physically moved by us up or down or damage will result internally. Does this also apply to Mr Patrol or can the arms be repositioned wherever I want them?
Racerxc70
According to the data base the arms move as part of the action
Brian..
Most (probably all) Horikawa arms have a simple clutch mechanism (a friction bond) that allows arms to be positioned and still move backward and forward. This is essential to avoid a child breaking the robot by restraining the arms.
Ultrarobotman
Thanks, Brian. I gently tried moving one arm but I felt a little resistance so didn't do it. It's an awesome robot that doesn't go to auction often and I'd really be disappointed if I damaged it ! Racerxc70, thanks, but I guess I didn't explain the question very well.
