Mick_B
I got this guy a while back. He was labeled as a Horikawa Space Attacker, but I thought he was a Razer. Not as gold in color as I had thought it should be and missing an antenna. when he arrived there was a rattleing sound inside and no action with batteries. I found these threads: that confirmed my thoughts. so I found him a replacement radar dish antenna. Got a steal on a Lambda III, who donated his antenna. (if anyone interested in a nice boxed Lambda III, sans antenna, lmk) but the antenna did not connect with anything when I tried it on tip his head. it was an open hole like what is seen on top Space Attacker. opened him up and was close to appealing for help from the Drome, but then worked it all out all by myself for a change. these were what was responsible for the rattling sound. worked out that they were supposed to be one piece that went here. and had to come up with a way of getting the donated antenna in place. a piece of coat hanger did the trick. checked all the connections inside, then straightened a few few metal pieces and his guns. tried to polish up his eyes. These were not chrome coated plastic as I expected, but metal. probably a good job for the Molow chrome paint, but I didnt go that far. (polished and to be polished) he's all back together and running. just need to work on a box. I have some decent images to print a boxtop, but need dimensions if anyone wants to provide those. biggest flaw is the marks from the cord on his back. cant really do anything about that. here he is in action: Cheers! Ultrarobotman
Wow! Very nice, and the whole story along with the old posts is put together nicely! I have the SH smoking (or smoRking, as printed on my box) robot and never knew what the hole was on top of the head til now. Same mold as the razer with the dish. So now I know, thanks! Great work, you've got a nice robot there, congrats!
