I would say that the toy was conceived/made in 1970 but not actually distributed/sold until 1971. It is marked "NEW" in this Horikawa catalog.Fire Robot - Catalog #1038 - Also listed as "NEW" in catalog. Never put into mass production; prototype only.New Space Explorer - Catalog #1029 - Listed as "NEW" in catalog - previously sighted in both a 1971 F.J. Strauss (Straco) Toys catalog and a 1971-72 Victory Merchandise Co. catalog.TV Robot - Catalog #1002 - This robot looks like the Radar Scope Space Scout but is slightly different. I couldn't find this exact toy in any of my reference materials. Does anyone have this "TV Robot" and its box in their collection? Strauss (Straco) Co. Toys catalog. This sighting moves the date back one year.Attacking Martian - Is this the green plastic chest door or tin medallion chest door version? What does the description say? SH MIKE, can you enlarge the description section? The green plastic version dates all the way back to 1966.
