Phil R
Humans making their replacements. Irony!
Andyman
Certainly a bit of post printing processing there. A chem bath and ultra violet treatment?
robothut
All resin printers have the resin cured in UV light. what was different about the set up was most resin printers have the build plate on top and lift the part up out of the resin as it builds, this unit seemed to print from the top down, lowering the part deeper and deeper into the resin tank. That way they did not have to release the resin layers from a clear FEP film after each layer is made. Fast and no warping that way. It would take a deep resin vat and a lot of expensive resin, man it would be so much better.
Golddalek
Lord knows what they do with all those gallons of left over chemicals.. It is fascinating to see the laser make illuminated patterns within the vat. Awesome technology.
Brian..
I love the results but the process is just so messy and hazardous.
Eagle
Amazing process. Looks like the supporting matrix is wasteful. Can you recycle the scrap ? If the final assy is a robot why is everything rigid ?
