Tinplate6
This is an odd space gun, but it has a certain charm. It was made in India, and measures approximately 5 inches long. This plastic gun is over named the “Darling” Vicky DU-Shooter 786 Rocket Gun. It came in the original cardboard box, and is mint from what I can see. The wear on the lettering is due to poor plating, not use. The box advertises “double action” but I can’t see any other options than the pop gun plunger at the back. Typically the box graphics cover every possible advertising angle to appeal to the widest interests…cowboys, clowns and a rocket to the moon! Supposedly, it also has a 40 foot firing distance, advertised on the lid, but I’m not about to test it. No maker’s mark that I could find.

Brian..
It looked familiar. The graphics are just so strange. I thought it was a Hong Kong piece, but India would make more sense.
Tinplate6
Brian, although these are similar, they are not exactly the same…the barrel tip on the white gun is very different from mine, aside from the design, the barrel on mine seems much shorter. Mine stops right where the red basket and site on the white gun starts. Additionally, mine has no serial number; the white gun has the number; RI48561 on it. Obviously one is earlier than the other. Tinplate6
After looking at the box on Alphadrome, it appears that “Darling” may actually be the manufacturer.
