H.I. Gosses
The original post is getting somewhat akward to open. So I am continuing here. As everybody is proudly showing off their ware, I thought I wouldn't lag behind. I posted a picture of my main display before so I'll post some "affiliated areas" First for Duxa the "expensive astronaut department"
H.I. Gosses
Hurray! I found another square yard on the upstairs landing!
H.I. Gosses
And here, again for Duxa, an astronaut dominated bric a brac with spare Robby.
H.I. Gosses
And here the department of Robbyotics. All the pictures, though of groups are small. Though we had screen-filling close up's of our estimed members playing guitar, anything over 600x400 is refused in my case.
steve
Thank-you Henk for a peek into your emporium. Just beautiful!!!!!
H.I. Gosses
And here a view of one of the most worrying aspects of my collection: A"MIBIC " deposit. (MIBIC= Mint In Box In Cupboard) All the hundreds of robots, that were fun to get but are no fun to see, reside there...
dratomic
Not that it's any surprise, but that's an amazing collection, Henk. What's that white Smoking Spaceman-shaped thing? Looks sort of like a cake mold...
H.I. Gosses
Just to be on the safe side and for the benefit of our new members, -or just 'cos I am vain-, a total of the main collection. You have to guess what it is that you see, as 720 K was still too much. By the time we've reached postage stamp it will upload. (@#$%^&!!!) The white smoking spaceman-thingy is a lamp from 1985 made by Fiorucci. Cakemold might be a more adequate use. Will try it out
H.I. Gosses
Arranging by colour is fun too! I am specially fond of the pink-section. (-which I therefore seem not to have photographed-(!)) I will mail a larger copy of the main collection to Brian and see if he can get it on, -he's a wizzard you know!
Robot Fool
H.I.Gosses, before the land slide of questions begins about your marvelous collection, please tell me about your Meccano robot. Did you give him a square brain. Here is a picture to compare the fool's stare with the bear brain ??I love the red- green paint combo, it reminds me of the same colour combo ST-1.Robot Fool
duxastrogirl
To feed your vanity Henk, it's an amazing-beautiful collection!!I am kind of surprised to see many Billikens and recent robots, for a weird reason I thought you only had vintage.and what about the Budah-Tetsujin???/
H.I. Gosses
The meccano is an original M. design. I got it from the M. importer in the Netherlands when M. folded, for the first time. It is also in the Pierre Boogaerdts "Robot Book" together with it's construction design. It has such a wierd and dangerous AC motor, I can not believe that it is all but original. (At that time I also did get the M. Magician, the 6-armed Shiva and about 2000 lbs other built models. These were all provided by the mother-company, so I do not doubt this one too much. Duxa: Most Billikens were made after Bullmark or other originals. What tells you they are Billikens? (OK some are. ..) I am very fond of Tetsujin and I would have every model of him/it even were it made of peanutbutter. The T-28 Buddha is quite impressive. One day we'll do a T-28 thread... ...-Once I thought I wanted to have every robot I could lay my hands on. John Riggs and his museum has freed me from the delussion that I was to be the worlds keeper of robot-dom. May he carry this torch now. (John!?) whilst I have seen the error of my ways and want only nice robots now, I am still stuck with about 1500 MIBIC robots. They impede the normal use of this house.. For even larger or more dominant collections ask 9tobor9 for a picture of his house in 1999 or ZZ-robot's basement. You will not believe your eyes. AKA-Machineman's storeroom is quite good too! duxastrogirl
I am very fond of Tetsujin and Giant Robo too...(though i admit I had never seen the TV show or anything.) yes!! We should someday do a thread about japanese characters. One of my favorites tetsujin's toy is the one flying with the kid on the back...When I'd seen it on Ebay it is usually too expensive...so it's on my list. Now is it possible to tempt 9tobor9, zz robot or Machineman to post some pics?
