Australian Playthings and Hobbies 1953-1954

This catalogue has been a bit of a holy grail for me as 1954 seemed to be the peak period for Australian made space Toys.

The 'tomic rocket and those on the page with the GE268 confirm there were imported space toys despite the high import tariffs at the time.

Quite a few German toys there. This gives us our first date for the Atomic Train.

At 11 inches that X200 is too long to be the Pyro X-200 - is it meant to be the big Moldex Z-101 version?

I measured my Moldex Z-101's and they're a match for those measurements. So I'd say so.
