Martian Gil
great bot John - is that to scale to your previous inertia-bot?
robothut
Same heavy duty design with ball bearings and 3mm metal axles. But I wanted the crank , this time called a Power Dial to be located on the back. This means I had to change the drive from the flywheel unit from a side output like in the first robot to now being a facing front drive axle . So I used a cylindrical cam and ballbearing followers. robothut
The Excavator flywheel bot with the first fklywheel robot and flywheel car as well as 3 of my vintage excavator robots.
robothut
Yes I could do a build of this robot. But I would have to know how many and settle on the color of each part so that materials could be ordered all at one time. I would do a build video and put files on thing-i-verse but that takes several days of work and since no one has built the first flywheel robot I can only guess there is no interest in the project so not a good use of my time.
