DECOBOTS Robots

Hi, just wanted to share with the group the line of Robots I created, there called the DECOBOTS

As you can see by my name I’m a Big Johnny Astro fan, I’ve been one ever since I received this toy in 67, I always thought there should be more to this toy even at a young age, I always had in the back of my mind there should have been an Action Figure with the name Johnny Astro and a group of Robot friends

So fast forward some 50 something years and I finally did it, I created a character Johnny Astro and his Friends the DECOBOTS, here is the concept art for them, they are in the process of being 3d printed, then I hope to have them made into articulated figures along with a comic book , take a look let me know what you think, Thanks John

Hi, fellow Robot Enthusiast,

I wanted to share my original Robot head sculptures I made that got me started designing the DECOBOTS

I Restore cars for a living so I figured why not use some vintage car parts to make the Robots along with parts i sculptured, take a look and see if you can pick out what parts I used

Thanks Everyone Glad you like my Robots, top head was originally speedo gauge housing from a 59 Impala, middle was a IBM time clock and last was an auxiliary under dash heater from a 50’s automobile, that were all a Good start for my designs
