Marx Space Kid vinyl

As described on the packaging, this is the Marx Space Kid, “The World’s Cutest astronaut, he’s a groovy one!”

Cute and groovy as advertised. But I’m curious, does anyone know anything about this toy? A Google search brings up zero.

I’m curious also is there another animal version of this toy. Notice on the bottom right of the packaging is a picture of this Space Kid. However, on the left is the illustration of a similar character only with an animal face. Does anyone know if this animal version exists?

I tried to look up images from the cartoon you mention Brian. However, I see nothing that resembles the toy. I did find out from a fella on FB that there is indeed an animal version. I’m told it is a mouse. Though, if so, the ears are not to be seen, hidden under the space helmet. He shared a photo and I have asked for his permission to share the photo here. Until then gang, please enjoy this rare video, presumably the only one in existence of the Marx Space Kid in action.

Thanks to the kind fella on FB for his permission to share this photo of the two versions of the Marx Space Kid toy. I can find no trace of these guys in my Google searches.
