Eagle
Biggest bottle jacks ever ! I wander what the system pressure is ? So each jack lifts 35 ton..Wide-bodies [747] ect use 65 ton jacks and the rams are half that diameter. Amazing how they keep the lift uniform and level ..I wonder if the building will need a couple buckets of spackle ?
robothut
My guess would be load sensors on each jack and the main control computer making sure that the pressure is equilized for each jack . Amazing even if it is slower than a snail in real time. Just the fact that it works blows my mind.
Eagle
Carbon pile sensors..I agree. LVDT's for horizontal movement . There has to be at least 600 control valves . If those are 14" actuators,, that would be about 155 sq/in of piston Area..So it could operate at less than 500 Psi. Impressive . Hey Lee, Are you sure you bled all the lines ?
