space.trucks
Wandered off my golf course here and prepared for unhappy news. Looks like it has paint residue on certain edges. Zero markings. Looks like something got rubbed out of the mold on that upper hub? And it doesn't have that. All opinions welcome. Don't know anything about the line except that this is my favorite of their space vehicles, had wanted one for a while.
Brian..
Probably not Pyro - which makes it much more interesting! A few other companies made these.

Brian..
I've a few of these some maked Pyro and some Kleeware. Kleeware is marked Made in England in that central spot. Is there any chance this came from Australia? I know that one version was sold there and they often didn't put a maker's mark on the plastic. Far out! and thank you, had forgotten about the foreign market angle. Am no longer annoyed with myself, had gotten that queasy sinking feeling, upon realizing it had once been painted, that something was amiss -- What kind of schnook would paint a Pyro? Well, maybe a kid who wanted a white one? I had to remind myself "You buy the spaceship and not the story": it is beautiful, unique compared to anything I have and surprisingly sturdy. Vendor had shipped with insurance so they were convinced it had value. Comparing it with other known 50s space vehicles in the garage I was sure it is vintage but the lack of a Pyro mark threw me, probably others too esplainin' the relative bargain price. Makes sense now! and am eager to learn more.
Brian..
Plastic spaceships are a specialist area. The information is hard to come by and the models were often sold loose and without a maker's mark.
space.trucks
Yar on that. The Marx ships and my box of rivet ships are likely as far as I'd go with the hardcore space plastics for now. I can't bid competitively on the real scores & count myself as very very lucky to have reeled this one in. Which reminds me, many thanks for getting the plastics index back! am allowed to dream. Used checking her in in as an excuse to get out the current stash of vintage mostly plastic non-military vehicles, not all space but cool. One is wood, another is a Tootsie Toy painted metal car and the Marx car in the more pale shade of gold is a recast. The red Marx car lacks wheels, if anyone has a lead on finding a set I am all ears.
