Brian..
I'm fond of hard plastic space toys. Here's one I've not seen before. It has classic space lines and a very distinctive separate chassis underneath. I wonder if it was one of those kits with swappable tops on a common chassis. No maker's mark. I think it may be German
Brian..
This finally arrived and I'm more than pleased with it. The chassis is not separate, it's been welded to the top. The design is clearly based on the Marx futuristic vehicles, but there are significant differences. It's appreciably smaller, a good 2cm shorter. The detailing isn't so distinct and the hole at the back is quite different. The plastic is very thin and has that early brittle translucent look that I've seen on 1950s hard plastic. It's 10cm long or 4 inches in old money. There's still no trace of a maker, though. It's not Agresoply or Lesieur, the other known makers of this Marx copy.
