robothut Posted August 19, 2020 Author Share Posted August 19, 2020 I only have a cheep Harbor frieght $10 buck air brush so very little control and kind of a wide spray pattern. So I did use a brush on the thin raised fins but the rest including the back was just air brush. Just set the paint mix low so you have to do a bunch of passes to get a solid look that way you can do fade out and near edge work. The other problem with the Harbor Freight air brush is that it is a bottom bottle feed, the better air brushes will have the little bucket on the top, the flow and setting will be more steady that the bottom bottle feed systems.
