Golddalek
The previous comic looks dumb, but I'm intrigued with Strane adventures and HOTSPUR comics. Looks pretty cool.

Golddalek
found vendors from UK who sell these magazines on DVD, ...so I went ahead and purchased a 5 pack off ebay. Interesting history these Hotspur comics had. The HotspurĀ #412, July 19, 1941 introduced 'TheĀ Iron Teacher'. Ā The HotspurĀ #677, October 7, 1972, theĀ Iron Teacher was givenĀ a remake.....very cool. Ā
Automaton
I didn't know you could get them on dvd. The two versions of the iron teacher are great.
Automaton
I was thinking of having the second one made as the first was very similar to robot Archie. Both Iron Teachers made for some good covers.

Golddalek
Great looking CAD drawing so far. You nailed him. Indeed, both versions are nice, 1941 versionĀ has last century charm.Ā while the Re-make version looks easier to draw, manufacture on a 3D printer.Ā Ā Yea, I would go broke if I bought every vintage comic book on ebayĀ so DVD files are the way to go...Free viewer down load, like adobe acrobat. Ā Would be cool to print these out though,Ā as I prefer paper.
Brian..
Beautiful CAD work, Automaton. These English comic robots are so nostalgic. I grew up on the Hotspur. Ā The comic book files, by the way, are all freely available for download on the web. This site, for example, has thousands of them, though not the Hotspur ones: Ā https://britishcomics.wordpress.com/2018/10/18/eagle-1ste-serie-1954-1958/ Ā Ā
Automaton
Theres a lot of strange inventive robots in those old comics sometimes just for a few panels and its great to be able to look them up. Thanks for the link.Ā I didn't do the CAD work myself butĀ Ā commissionedĀ an artist do the work on the iron teacher and robot archie

Automaton
It only got this far but I might try again some day to get it finished
Brian..
Well, that's impressive. You have gone into an astonishing level of detail. There's enough work in each of those armsĀ to keep you busy for months of building. Based on standard motorĀ size, this looks like a six-foot model.Ā Ā Without much work the STL files for both these robotsĀ would produce excellent static models.Ā
Golddalek
"Most excellent, Ted".........Incredibly laid outĀ file, -so spot on, Ā and then some. Comic book artists don't usually worry about small details, but you did. This 3D drawing program looks way better than what I use, Blender 2.67Ā Ā maybe the legs could be a little longer. Sparkrobot
Here's a British one I think from the 60s from a girls comic Bunty called Brassribs that I was never aware of.http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/b/brassribs.htm Ā Ā
