Kanaan
On the heels of Star Trek screenwriter D.C. Fontana and actor Robert Walker, Jr. (who played the titular character from the original Star Trek episode, "Charlie X"), actor Rene Auberjonois has died at the age of 79 after a battle with metastatic lung cancer. In addition to his many acting credits including M*A*S*H, Benson, Boston Legal, and others, he is best known to Trekkies for his indelible portrayal of Odo, the shapeshifting head of security on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Auberjonois at several SF conventions over the years. He was a genuinely affable and funny gentleman.
Phil R
Ironically I've been watching DS-9 episodes. He always adds a break with comic relief. Just watched the episode with Lwaxana Troi and Odo. A real message for accepting people as they are.
