robothut
So I wanted the rosie robot to look more like the 1960's cartoon drawing. I do not care much for the more rounded versions of modern times.
robothut
To get the single leg and 3 wheels base for Rosie "some drawings do show Rosie with 4 wheels" I decided the base would have to be part of the robot. This makes it display nice when not in action as well. I also wanted the body of Rosie to be more vertical and not bent over. But to move forward when hopping you need the "work" to be in a forward direction. So the motor and mechanics are tipped forward but the body is mounted vertical. RoboDerby
Brilliant once again John. Keeping the mechanics tilted within the upright body seems to be the perfect solution to achieve the aesthetic you were looking for along with a pleasing motion. Well done John and it looks wonderful.
