Golddalek
I down loaded the Mini-Dual Gear Motor Robot Base, plus Batt. clip, wheels, ( your efforts are indeed looked at by some and appreciated) I figured this is a good project to run a Test. They probably print well for Robothut but not all printers are the same. so I had to make minute adjustments so it could pass 3DHUBs print specs,..I like to use 3DHUBs as a test source because of their extensive object checking tools. (they find issues that may not show up in Shapeways) However- Shapeways, 3DHUBs, XYZMaker can be pricey so I am trying a new service- 3DCompare.com.....They shop for you on prices for for 3D print services. It cost me $8 for all 3 PLA parts.....sounds too good, but I am giving them a try. (some Hub in LA is printing them<- came up in their search...depends on material you select- Hubs could be UK, China, Netherlands) I'll let you know how they turn out in case others, like me, without a 3D printer have an option to go to for a print service. If their result turns out Bogus- then it is still good to know, either way. x

robothut
Was it cost effective ? Did it come in at $8 bucks like your early post said ? Looking good.
Golddalek
Yes...$8..... Shapeways, imaterialize, XYZ maker would have cost me $45 easy for these 4 parts, (2 wheels, chassis, battery clip- some reason I got an extra wheel thrown in) Not sure if perhaps some people w/machines are using this 3Dcompare to break into the 3D printing business.? Could also be temporary...3DHUBs started off for 3 yrs as a cheap resource, I have many prints from them. but now 3DHUBS is expensive, the min. order is $35....setup fee I imagine....same deal with imaterialize, Many HUBS were forced to leave the website for certain professionals....(ones that had the top machines) So folks get parts cheap while you can.....I'll post more whenever I get something new to print....eventually, I'll get my own machine.
