Powerhead
Happy new year to everybody. It was about time I put batteries in my old robots to enable them to move a bit after some months, and I noticed that rust spots that I had cleaned some time ago with WD-40 have rusted again and even expanded somehow. Humidity in the room is only about 45-50%. Is there a way to treat and permanently stop the rust of expanding and ruining my toys?!
ROBODUDE
HAPPY NEW YEAR!--There are several rust treatments on the market. I got the one I use at an auto parts store and it is called Permatex rust treatment. It penetrates the rust and chemically converts it. I put it on with a Q-tip (it helps to sand just the rust spot a little and then put the treatment on. after it converts the rust it turns black, but after it dries you can repaint just that area---I have used it several times and the rust never came back and never expanded!!! Works Great !!! Good Luck--Rich
