Robot Fool
Funny and so true: when you first get the bug for collecting these truly displayable toys, it usually starts from just one Robot, or Space Toy. Whether it is vintage or made yesterday, the bug you begin with soon multiplies to a level of infestation, requiring a "Display Case", or many of sorts !Just wanted to say, how nice to view your collections through the glass, as seen through your eyes. Your cases & Collections are:Beautiful - RobotNut, Beautiful - RobotHunter, Beautiful - Larry 7Quite the carpentry work RobotNut, I'm sure Captain Lazer ( TOP SHELF of course ) was of help in leveling the shelves to laser precision.Robot Fool

Russell
I notice you have the batt box laying down for the Spaceman. I devised a little cardboard gizmo (Inspired by Griff's Displaystands in Morans book) If anybody is interested I could post a pdf template that you could cut out and make, it takes 5 mins. I found black or silver card looked bestLMK?Rt

Wow. I thought I was the fool on this board  Oh I still am. .( all in agreement say eye, thankyou, that's secured )SeriouslyI must say your former collection deserves praise, even if my praise is late, and that collection is long gone. [ except for the special ones you kept, or did those B-9's and Robbies take battle upon the gang of 4 and everything else ? ( space and time does not allow me to list them all ) ]Still I love your present collection , RobbieB-9HunterOn second thought, Larry7 & RobotNut might have a few tricks up their robot sleeves ? Admit it Larry or Darryl you had a . . Barbie collection that a collector would kill for

Robert was taking orders for his custom plexi, rubber Wheel SAVERS. To help prevent flat spots on the soft wheels, due to prolongged display wear, when carrying the full load of the toy. laserman
Speaking of display cabinets. I made my own rather inexpensively. I built the sides, bottom and back from the oak laminated particle board from Menards lumber (the others carry it also). The expensive parts were the rear mirror and glass doors that had to be cut special. I found the shelving at a office surplus supply house and cut it to size. The shelves are held up with standard brackets mounted into the sides with one in the middle rear to provide support to the shelves. I bought the can lights from a internet wood supply house Rockler. All said this 5' wide by 7' tall cabinet run about $500.I do not keep my robots in it because they are easier to dust than my 12" astronauts. The one bad thing is these are very heavy....
