robothut
Here is the new fab365 model B, that prints flat as 1 piece, then you fold together. The wheels on the bottom roll, the arms move and the body turns and the brain rotates. They provide a dome STL so I gave it a shot in polysmooth clear. I do not care for the short legs in this design so have modified the STL to have longer leg parts. Its printing now, we will see how that looks. ROBODUDE
Really Cool John-are you thinking of a powered version like your other folding bots?
kennetzel
Very nice. Me being the Lost in Space robot fan, I really like it.
Andyman
I still am amazed that it prints out ready to go. Wheels, arms and everything.
robothut
Here is a picture of the robot at 140 % scale and with longer legs. I modified the original stl file by cutting and duplicating 2 of its leg parts, giving it 6 leg parts instead of 2. I think it looks a lot better. Printing a dome for it now. ROBODUDE
I agree John--The taller version looks better (in my opinion!)
