robothut
If it is surface fogging you might be able to buff it out or use a plastic polish. I think some one on this post mentioned useing toothpaste as a plastic polish once in case you do not have a way to get real plastic polish. but if this is in the plastic like UV light caused problem then you are stuck with it. Swissplanet
Volker, the easy way is the best...http://www.classictintoy.com/Merchant2/mer...Category_Code=NHow much money are you going to invert?and you are not sure if what you are going to makeis what you are especting...The Plastic-Dome is very important, forget your "beer"the next month and buy a new one... ;)
Volker
Good Idea,I am on the Way to my Garage.I am not sure it it comes from UV-Light, it looks like the complett robby was laying for some days in a Color-solution.And the Plastic-Dome is thicker like my other original Robby. Is there known that there was differend thickness Plasticdomes ?ThanksVolker
Alain
John is right about toothpaste, the regular kind acts like a very mild polish, so if the plastic's surface is fogged it can work wonders. It works great on silver too!

Alain
personally, i'd rather keep it all original than get a replacement dome. Even if the plastic is all fogged up. it has "history". :P Volker, did you disassemble it for your project, or you bought it that way? Looks nice the way you laid out the parts for the picture. Volker
Hi Alan,I bought it in parts. And I will document every step here.On Monday I clean the body and the other tin-Parts with sand-blasted.greetingsVolker
robothut
Volker, if the dome is thicker than your other origional Robbys then I would bet that it is not an origonal dome and that it is a replacement dome that some one was trying to give an aged look. But it does not matter if it cleans up and looks nice you good to go.
