Sparkrobot
Before a visit to a true mechanic / toy doctor why not give my simple cure a try. Insert really powerful batteries like Duracell max extra, lasts 1000 times longer. Shake vigorously for a minimum 5 minutes and if that doesn't work reverse the batteries, shake again. Now turn the robot or yourself upside down reverse the batteries one final time then shake the robot in every direction possible until it sparks into life. Well it worked for me with my Marx Electric robot that had been in storage for 3 years. Maybe you could get lucky. 🏆😉 BTW As a disclaimer the above erratic method might not be for everyone and as a rule I respect the age and fragility of our beloved robots. The thing is this method is how I mend everything with a frighteningly high success rate Phones, watches, tv's. Anyway you get the idea.
Martian Gil
Hey, I thought this post was about something else. ;) But seriously - we've all been there! Glad it worked on your Marx 'bot, Spark!
Sparkrobot
MG all a bit of fun born out of frustration and lack of mechanical skill.
