DEEP SPACE-11
I know it's early but I would love to be able to attend and generally need to schedule way in advance. I've noticed Morphy's is having a major robot auction on April 15th, 2017, could be a good excuse for a meet up?
David Kirk
Where are you finding that, Deep Space? I'm not turning anything up.
DEEP SPACE-11
The add is in the new Antique Toy World, also Tommy Sage had mentioned it at the Allentown Toy Show. Large Italian collection.

David Kirk
Another Italian. I wasn't aware there were any big Italian collections left, not that I'd know. How many are there? I always wonder when there's something like a Machine Man, if it's one I haven't seen before or one of the ones that's already been up at auction, just cycling through once again. It must be great for a place like Morphy's to get to sell the same objects over and over! Thanks from me, Deep Space, for mentioning this. Sometimes nobody talks about the auctions until they're over, and what fun is that?
DEEP SPACE-11
I'm sure much more information will come out but my understanding is that this is an older collection
Fineas J. Whoopie
An email I got says it's a collection from a collector with an Italian sounding name but who is from Switzerland. Anyone heard of him? "I wanted to reach out with a reminder of our upcoming Premier Toy Sale at our Denver, PA. location on April 15 2017. Morphy Auctions will be offering a “Fresh to the Market” collection of robots featuring the phenomenal Sergio Tappa Robot collection from Switzerland!" Joe K.
https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://sergiotappa.ch/&prev=search This video was done 20 years ago. I can only imagine what his consigned collection looks like today. No details yet, but this is Morphy's link to the April 15th auction: http://www.morphyauctions.com/auctions/past-auctions/toy-doll-3/ Note the "Catalog Unavailable" designation. Morphy's has cut back on printing hardcopy catalogs. Digital copy only available. So, stock up on your printer's ink cartridges.

Morbius
If this happens, better take extra blankets for the Black Horse.
Joe K.
Mike's right. It can still be pretty chilly here in Adamstown mid-April. (Hey Mike, empty your PM inbox. I tried sending you a "thank you", but it can't go through.)
