PLANET GLASS

Recommended Posts

I recently obtained this 7" water glass picturing various size planets with partial gold plated rockets, saucer and space station. I've never seen this one before and would like to know if anyone knows more about it. There are no identifying marks.

Interesting, Phil...it looks like a cocktail tumbler, a bar glass, it's definitely not a jelly glass, because of the height and taper at the bottom. That type of spacy decor was popular in the 60's, but this is just a guess on my part.

I picked up this 4 oz. juice glass this evening, unfortunately it's the only auction pic so I can't see all the graphics...looks like a large rocket on the reverse and maybe a spaceman.

I've been working at cataloging my collection for the past couple weeks and after doing some internet research, stumbled across these pics, allowing me to identify two of the glasses in my collection..."Blue Plate Peanut Butter."
