robothut Posted September 15, 2016 Share Posted September 15, 2016 Most 3d printer do not have a 100 % shut down when the print is done and the hotend has cooled down, here is what I did to my dreamers and wit will work with most printers out there. marco Posted September 15, 2016 Share Posted September 15, 2016 always cool to watch your instruction videos John :) Good idea and Its usefull for sure. when the print is done, hotend cooled down, the machine can turn off. I did that on my ultimaker some time ago. I hacked in the system ( ultimakers are arduino based ) and arrange it there as soon as the hotend drops below 40 degrees AND the machine is not used again for 30 minutes, it shuts down. I guess the dreamers also can be hacked into, maybe you can arrange it in the software. Anyway... i agree, its good to a have the machine turned off when its not in use after a long print in the middle of the night ;-) Marco Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
