Joe K.
I came across this ad from an undated Juni Hardware Christmas catalog: Judging by the other toys pictured in the catalog, I'd estimate it being from the early to mid 1930s. In any event, does anyone else think this piece looks like a ray gun? If so, anyone have it? Manufacturer? I wish the image was of better quality. Here's the ended catalog listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/EARLY-1940S-JUNI-HARDWARE-CHRISTMAS-SANTA-CLAUS-TOY-CATALOG-JORDAN-MN-/381591997781?nma=true&si=WkS%252Bh%252FVZu5X0JhSL%252FD4TZG%252FFwOM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Fineas J. Whoopie
It looks like a ray gun to me Joe but I'd see a ray gun in an ink blot. Don't recognize it but it seems to have design elements from a couple of different guns.
dratomic
I agree. Looks like a ray gun, but I've never seen it before...
Joe K.
I believe this is the same break action pop pistol, spotted in a 1930 Butler Brothers Christmas catalog: It's beginning to look less and less like a space gun to me.
