In the meantime in the Dutch Caves :-)...

I made a quick video of the printing process of Giant Robots Head and his left arm to give you an idea of how the parts are build up.
Only the head needs 1285 seperate layers with a total running time of 6 hours.
The left arm is printed in 2 seperate parts with minimal of support. 832 layers, total time 4 hours ( more or less )

What you see under the robots "nose" is no SNOT but support material to make sure the overhanging parts can be printed.
This support can be removed when the print is done easily just by breaking it away.

Has anybody noticed Ultimakers LOGO on the printer... as it the printer was made to do this job :-)

After a week of vacation the printers are doing overtime again..... still some serious parts to finish but the first 5 high end printed Tomy Giant "little" robots are getting real shape now...
5 left arms and the main body parts stil have to be printed but i will try to finish these in the days to come....

Completed the heads now and handpainted the eyes and mouthsection. a very secure job because NO errors are allowed here... one mistake and the head ( and 6 hours of printing ) are lost...
They all came out fine, still seem to have a steady hand to do this :) pfffff....:-)

More to come...
CHeers..
