Besides the radios produced for the Star Command series, Caprice Electronics, a division of Calfax, Inc. (Hong Kong) also made this one radio controlled robot: i-M-2 Starroid. This ad supposedly comes from a 1978 catalog. Both the toy and the remote controller are marked with a copyright date of 1977. In addition, the controller (at least the one in my collection) is also marked: "Manufactured in June 1979".

It's also interesting to note that the walkie-talkies pictured in this ad are the same exact design used for Sir Galaxy's remote control units, both the ITC (1978) and Mattel (1979) variations.

This ad also shows i-M-1 (silver color AM robot radio), i-M-1-2 (yellow color AM robot radio), Star Explorer (white color "Mother" ship radio) and Aquastar (yellow color spaceship radio).
