Fineas J. Whoopie
Sad and embarrassing for the US that he made it in other countries but we destroyed him before he barely got going. When did it become so fashionable to be so negative and destructive here? And we are presumably talking about people who are at least old enough to drive. I think it's an effect of the current political climate. So sad.
Morbius
Was sad to hear on our news tonight. JOHN! You can re-build him, right?? Better than before! http://www.thestar.com/news/world/2015/08/01/hitchhiking-robot-meets-end-on-streets-of-philadelphia.html
Electric Robot and Son
What a shame. He was just on the Boston TV news visiting Fenway Park, the oldest major league baseball park. I hope the police find the perpetrators and prosecute them for assault on a battery........ operated robot. Seriously and unfortunately, as a social experiment HitchBot's travels do reflect what is going on in our society today, including TV news coverage. The only TV coverage I saw was when it was destroyed.
WJN
Maybe John Rigg can build us a new one with self defense capabilities- or at least a built-in a dye pack system like the banks use- say 5 gallons of hot pink permanent dye.
Andyman
I'm not sure what's worse, this or the lion thingy.
robothut
The army should be testing all there new robots in the city of brotherly love as well I think. I wonder if the terminator could survive that city ?
Racerxc70
Some will destroy while claiming not understand and gleefully have fun while they do it, you know the type they pull off the wings and legs from insects, torture small animals and bully others, if caught deny they did it or say they didn't realize it was the wrong thing to do and seconds later wonder what all the fuss was about. If caught they should repair and escort Hitchbot through the city ( and maybe the whole Keystone state ) with a sign around there neck explaining what they are doing and why.Or be hung by their feet and beat with baseball bats, like the Italians did to Musillini at the end of WWII. Andyman
After seeing the picture, I wonder if this is a ruse. The arms look neatly taken off. If somebody was going to destroy it, they would have done a better job.
