kennetzel
Hi all. I recently acquired an Alps Television Spaceman in great shape. He works great, hardly any rust if any and has all his original parts. The only problem is he is missing a button on his one shoulder and his faceplate is cracked. I ordered a new faceplate for it but I am a bit nervous about replacing the old one. I know how brittle clear plastic can be and considering what this thing cost me, I'm afraid I'll crack it putting it in. Does anyone have any advice on a safe way of taking out the old plate and putting in a new one. I would appreciate any help I can get. I hate to make it worse than it is. Thanks in advance. Racerxc70
I've replaced that same faceplate using a small flat Jewelers screwdriver to pry the original out at each tab. I put the replacement in that I acquired from NimRod bottom end first, then top his parts are very well made and will flex a little as you need them togood luck

robothut
You can practice on the old cracked one before trying the new one then you will know how to do it.
