I also got a few more Robot type kits to add to the section of the Hut. And just robot type decorations and "stuff" in general. Thank you Ozzy for the Robot Rootbeer that was made by Wild Bill years ago "how many of you remember Wild Bill Repro boxes ?"

Great items John!! I've got the ROBOTLE corkscrew too. For Christmas I got 3 little wind up robots from Darryl Sheets of 'Storage Wars', a 2nd Mego Man Pirate and a Blue-Nose Travelling Sam the Peace Corps Man.

Also a complete Bubble Gun like the one Mark (Eagle) gave me at Botstock.

Great addition from Laurie and Kelly from the Netherlands, never seen one before in white.

And a '70s replacement robot from them as well. Love it!

Maybe not this year exactly, but many are still in my collection, and one came home in January after a long absence.

Was that your original Mr. Atomic from Morphy's??

Well...I got the Machine Gun Metal House Robot which I posted about earlier, and a set of those new boxing robots, which are tricky. Normally when you pick up a robot that size you grab it by the back and the chest. You can't do that with these guys because the head release mechanism is the WHOLE chest. So every time someone picked them up, the head would fly off. We had heads flying all over the place by people who never picked them up before. Yet when you pick them up by the head, they feel like the bodies are going to fall off they're so heavy...so you have to be very careful when you move them. LOL...I saw a guy on TV reviewing toys and he said these boxing robots were the hottest robots selling this year and explained about the heads and said "most kids are going to lose these heads ten minutes after they start playing with them, so we're going to have an army of headless robots out there." THen I got a Batman accessory kit for the Mego sized Batman figures I have and an Adam West Batman model kit from Moebius Models.

My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas, which is also my birthday! I said for her not to worry as I would pick up a few things she could wrap up for me,good ploy eh!?!Anyway,my daughter bought me the Space Commander which was a complete surprise,a nice one too,it does have its shield,it's still attached to the box and I like the robot better without it.

Thanks John, yes,I really like the space commander and the space raid car has grown on me too, something a bit different.I can't see the poster, must be this kindle.

Morbius, yes,it's a great ploy isn't it,buying your own gifts! I have spent some time today moving stuff around,I need more space or less toys.I can't see the latter happening though!

Morbius, yes, that was my Mr. Atomic, from Lazarus in 1962. I bought him for $2.99 -- a bargain, I knew, because I already had the Sears Catalog where he was six or seven bucks. The Lazarus price tag was still on the box. I'd managed to keep track of him for the thirty-some years he was visiting Griffith and Enzo. I was very lucky that the trail was so simple!
