Ultrarobotman
A minor project maybe not even worth mentioning but we bought this all metal astronaut with the lithoed inside doors for a whopping $38,00 non-working again this time due to a broken translucent green switch.Otherwise it looked pretty darn good.I cut the old switch out, touched the wires and knew I only needed a new switch. Radio Shack hooked me up with a two-pack of on/off flat mount slide switches for 3.99.I drilled the mounting holes big enough to take the holding tabs on the robot, soldered it all together and it runs great! I imagine someone broke the original plastic switch on this one long ago while the toy was fairly new and stuck it away somewhere for all these years. It did take a little time and a $2.00 switch that is not original but neither would a replacement green switch be either.A low price and works great!!
