Sparking: Putting The "spark" Back In Friction Toys

I have used 3/20 inch steel fire starter flints, (bought online from Amazon.com very inexpensive ) in combination with medium grade Emory cloth and I have been very successful, the flint can be easily broken to the required with needle nose pliers, the original set hole might need to be enlarged using a metal awl (this will give you a tighter fit) or an electric drill and bit, then using Loctite glue in the blue bottle or epoxy to set it in place. Emory cloth can be cut to any shape and the glued in place with Loctite or epoxy, you can expect massive amounts of sparks when this method is used.post-1784-0-07160100-1415903707_thumb.jppost-1784-0-34437700-1415903722_thumb.jppost-1784-0-19401700-1415903915_thumb.jp
