nasa Posted November 12, 2014 Share Posted November 12, 2014 cheers! A 10-year mission which could hold answers to the origin of life on Earth reached an important milestone on Wednesday. The European Space Agency's Rosetta spacecraft released a lander earlier this morning that successfully landed on a comet. The Philae lander will extract and analyze samples from Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko, which scientists hope could contain hints about the history of the universe.
