Thanks for posting this, reminds us of how magical the world seemed when we were kids (although this article is slightly before my time). Last time I rode the "Wheel of Progress" at Disneyworld, it was interesting to see how we went from wires hanging on the walls and primitive kitchen appliances at the turn of the 20th century, on thru the '50s and '70s then off TO THE FUTURE... the living room had a computer in one corner, kids playing video games in front of a flat-screen TV along with grandma and grampa watching.
