robothut
Dan Marvicsin stopped by today with a new style sign for the RobotHut to replace the 12 year old original sign that was destroyed in the storms we had a few weeks back. First I had to scrape off the old glue and foam build up and then paint the scraped spots with a close barn red paint.
robothut
The new signage is made of wood, the old one was foam board, so this sign should out last me at this point.
robothut
The sign parts are backed by wood strips and are screwed to the building with 4 inch long screw's.
robothut
The non faded red parts of the building should fade in over time. A big thank you to Dan for all his work and donation of time and money. Now it's time to repaint the 17 foot tall smoking robot.

Morbius
Nice sign John. That font is exactly what I drew in the '70s in my school books, really really like it!!! Wonderful to see you up and about again.

robothut
Thats not me in the picture, thats Dan, I took the picture. But I am up, in fact I was up on the tall ladder for the install. Dan took a picture with me standing there but he has not emailed it to me yet. Dans pictures I think have the Yellow Jacket trap moved, there are lots of nests behind that giant smoking robot that I had to hose down before we could work on the installation.
